1. KATANGA SLUM

The tour starts in Wandegeya and you head to the Katanga Slum. This is one of the biggest slums in Uganda. Its located between the famous Makerere University and Mulago National referral hospital. You will be able to interact with the locals and learn firsthand how they survive in these congested places. They are lovely people and always welcoming.

2. BAGALA CRAFT

The biggest Craft market in Uganda. It has various artisan shops selling items ranging from ebony wood items, handmade jewelry, Masai slipper, paintings, and many more. It’s a one-stop solution for craft items and souvenirs for someone looking for unique items.

3. INDEPENDENCE MONUMENT

Have a brief time to relax here. Learn about pre-independence Uganda and the Country`s road to independence up to where we are now.

4. NAKASERO MARKET

Nakasero Market is located at the foot of Nakasero hill. It sells fresh food, textiles, shoes and cheap electronics. Nakasero market is located 50 meters off the Entebbe Road.It is one of the biggest markets in Kampala city central business District

5. OLD TAXI PARK

Observe a thousand commuter taxis assembled in one place looking for passengers. These taxis form the backbone of public transport in Uganda. There is a hustle and bustle. No matter where you look, you can see the minibusses, drivers, and passengers everywhere. The Park is a hive of activity. The horn is honked every few seconds. At first glance, it seems almost impossible for travelers to find the right taxi bus that drives them to the desired destination, but they eventually get there.

6. OWINO MARKET

This is the largest open-air market in Uganda. It was established in 1971 when Kampala City Council relocated 320 vendors from Nakasero Market. It has over 50,000 vendors. Owino Market is popularly known for its second-hand clothes, but you can find and buy everything from the market including groceries, home appliances, shoes, bags and so much more at quite cheap prices! It shouldn’t surprise you if you find yourself spending more time than you had planned while inside Owino Market – the diversity of the fare is very attractive, and once you are inside the market, it is quite hard to find your way out. 7. KABAKA`s PALACE

Kabaka” means King. Here you will visit the palace of the biggest Kingdom in Uganda, The Buganda Kingdom. You will be delighted to learn about its beautiful culture. Located in the Palace are the Idi Amin Torture chambers. It was built by the Israelites, initially as a place of armoury. Idi Amin the president at the time turned it into a torture chamber.The torture chamber comprised of a dark tunnel with five cells. Which had an electric door at the entrance, separated by an electric pool of water in the corridors. so that whoever tried to escape from the room would be shocked by the electricity.
