Day 1: Travel from Kampala/ Entebbe to Kidepo Valley national park

Immediately after breakfast, we set off with the safari driver for our journey to Kidepo Valley national park. The park is located far in the northwestern corner and we therefore wake up very early so that we are not caught up and delayed by jam in Kampala and surrounding towns. Lunch enroute and after proceeding with the journey, we arrive at the lodge, check in, have dinner and rest.

Day 2: Game drive and cultural encounter in the afternoon

We rise up very early for breakfast at the lodge and then continue into the park for the game drive. We drive around the tracks in search of the parks specials such as the lions, cheetah, greater kudu and mountain reedbuck. There is a high chance to spot animals like the buffaloes, ostriches, African elephant, Rothschild’s giraffe, zebras and gazelles among others. . At the end of the game drive, we return to the lodge, enjoy your lunch and head out for a cultural encounter with the Karamajongs. This tribe is well known for preserving their culture and not giving in to morderenisation . Time spent with them is an interesting moment of enjoying their cultural dances and learning about their way of life.

Return to the lodge for the overnight

Day 3: Morning Nature Walk &  Evening Game drive

After breakfast, we go with a ranger guide for a nature walk through the park and around Kanangorok Hot Springs. We enjoy the stunning landscape here and birds that you won’t miss out on are the ostritches because they are common in the area.

We return to the lodge for a relaxation and later on head out for a game drive in the evening. This gives us more opportunities of sighting game such as leopard, lion, elephants and giraffes among others.
